In the previous game Michigan was picked apart by Duke's offense, this game was different. Duke shot poorly, and Michigan capitalized. Duke has potential to be a great team this year, but we lack a go-to player that we use to have (Jason Williams, Elton brand, JJ Redick), and if we have an off night the results are negative. I wasn't expecting an un defeated team this year so this loss doesn't bother me all that much, I would just like for Duke to get another shot at them. Though I can now buy tobacco products, go to clubs, in-list, or register I don't exactly feel like anything is really changing. I am now legally considered an adult, though I still live with my parents. I think it will hit me when I move off to college more. I can now be charged as an adult for certain actions, so I have to really think out some of the decisions that I make a lot better than the way I have in the past. It feels like more weight is on my shoulders, and that tends to over take the new responsibilities that I have earned and makes them more meaningless to me. I disaggree with the 21 drinking age. It was first organized in 1999. It was a little tournament that had match ups from both conferences, to see who would win more games. These two conferences are ussually the 2 top power house conferences in college baketball. In the 9 years that this tournament has existed the ACC has gone 9 and 0, sweeping the Big 10 in every year. This makes you really appreciate school's like Duke and Unc, because we have arguably the hardest conference in college basketball yet we are still dominant in our conference. I would also like to mention that in the 9 years this tournament has existed Duke has gone 9 and 0, so we have been doing are part. Duke is now 10 and 0, after beating a young and talented team in Purdue last night. For some reason they decided to create their own rules this year. The main rules are still the same, but they have just incorporated new sensless rules such as: a team has 1 time out each game that they can call whenever they want. Ussually you have to have possession of the ball in order to call a time out, but now you could be on a 1 on 1 fast break with the ball and the other team could just call a timeout. It kills the flow of the game, and in doing that it kills the game. Also we are not suppose to gather as a team and play as a team in preseason tournaments. This means though we will still be using the same players we have to establish a club team. Its just annoying to me, mainly because I don't see any of the points these rules are enforcing. Hopefully the creation of these new rules won't hurt my senior season. This past election I was an Obama "supporter". I don't have a strong opinion on politics because of my theory on politics. I feel that people shouldn't argue opinions on political issues until they have lived on their own, or experienced a certain issue personally. This is because until then, I feel like people are going off of their parents opinions. Nothing pisses me off more than kids who talk like they know what they're talking about when really they have no clue. Just like some people support Obama because he is black. I know there are people out there who know his platform, but I also know that many people just support him just because of his race. I also am tired of some white people dissing Obama because they don't want a black president. Arguing about politics is pointless, people have different life situations and if one point of view benefits them and not you then let them beleive what they feel benefits them, and you can beleive what you feel benefits you. Mainly, I'm just tired of ignorant kids who try to preach to others when if they stopped and listened to themselves they would realize how stupid they sound. The racism is worthless anyways people forget that Obama is Black and White. In my opinion I feel that Math, English, Science, and Social Studies should last all 5 days like they do. But for the electives the teacher should hand out a weeks worth of work in a packet of some sort. If the student finishes that packet by Tuesday or Wed. then they shouldn't have to go to that class for the rest of the week. If this could some how become possible then that would be crucial, but I highly doubt it will ever happen. We go to school to learn, and with in this learning we complete work. When we're at school we should do school related things, and when we're at home we should do whatever it is that you do in your personal life. My take on hw is that, it should only be assigned if you don't complete that work in class. This not only would make life easier outside of school (less stressful, etc), but more students would use school time more wisely, and get more accomplished. carebear about homework.

Does anybody carebear about the fox network.

Fox has some great shows. It is America's official channel, in my opinion. A few years ago they made the biggest mistake anyone has ever made by canceling the sitcom Arrested Development. This is one of the funniest shows to ever be aired, no contest. Go out and rent season 1 asap, watch it and get back to me. I think either 3 or 4 seasons were aired before the show was cancelled and replaced with other shitty dirtbag shows like American Idol, and other huge hit shows like that. They fail to realize that besides that win over Duke, they only ussually win about one or two other games. Since they beat Duke they feel like they can talk smack, but this year thats not the case. Both teams are 3-1 and have had some convincing wins. The past 2 years Duke has lost by a field goal or less. Both of the past two games should have been won by Duke but they choked, so if winning a game because of another teams mistake makes you feel good then I hope all of you unc fans enjoy your joke of a win. This year I have 20 dollars saying that it will be a different outcome. I will say that both teams and their fans get caught up in this rivalry and fail to realize that both schools still have a long way to go to become premier teams, and that neither team is too special. But we both run things in Basketball so its all good. Carebear about unc football and Butch Davis too for that matter. CUTCLIFFE turning it around, go Duke. I do not currently have a lunch pass because I recieved a D in honors Chemistry. No matter how many times I take that class I don't see myself achieving a C. Math and sciences should be excluded from the requirment list because many students may have a learning disability in a certain area of math, or maybe the work is just far too difficult and confusing for the students. I know for a fact that if I got off lunch and something happened to me (car accident, shot, etc) that I wouldn't sue the school. If they had a form I could sign saying that I wouldn't sue if something happened to me, and they excluded my chemistry grade that'd be a lot more convenient. There'd probably also be a lot less fights in the cafeteria, so its win win. As a college player Hansborough has put up some impressive numbers. Whether its scoring, rebounds, whatever. He is a great COLLEGE player. Many unc fans think he's going to do big things in the NBA. Thats pretty doubtful. Hansborough just doesn't have NBA height, or shooting range. He will be going against players twice as athletic, and about 3-4 inches taller than him. It's a great thing he decided to stay 4 years and graduate because he is going to need to use that degree to his advantage. Its too bad though, because the NBA's more relaxed on traveling, which if you have watched Hansborough play in the post, he does it just about everytime. He showed it when he played at Sanfransisco, and when he played in Philly. Since he's been at Dallas, he has been pretty good at controlling his ego....atleast up until now. After the Cowboys loss this past Sunday, TO was complaining about Romo. Romo threw to Owens 18 times, and managed 7 completions of these 18 throws. One of the drops was a potential touchdown that bounced off Owens hands.
